How much do you want to bet that the only thing some people will take away from this article is that abstinence only education works?
Even though what the study (and to a lesser degree – the article) is really saying is that it very, very slightly causes some kids to wait a year or two. So instead of having sex at 12, they’re waiting until 14. That’s…a vast improvement. Really. Now, I usually like to read the study itself rather than just the news article. But even without seeing the actual study, I do have to wonder – would these kids have waited those two or so years anyway even without the study?
